Julien Baker has canceled her U.S. tour with Torres to prioritize her health.
A statement released on Baker’s Instagram on Sunday, May 4, announced the cancellation news and thanked fans for their ongoing support.
“Due to recent events, Julien Baker is prioritizing her well-being and taking time to focus on her health. … This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment this may cause for fans. We deeply appreciate your understanding,” the statement said.
“Refunds and ticketing information will be provided by the original point of purchase. Thank you for your continued support and compassion,” the statement continued.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Baker for comment on May 4, but did not receive an immediate response.
The music tour, which began on April 23 and was scheduled to run until Sept. 13, included both standalone shows and festival appearances. The pair most recently performed a sold-out show on May 1 in New Orleans, and their next tour date was scheduled for May 4 in San Antonio.

Baker, 29, had posted a message about the tour on Instagram as recently as April 30, writing: “Getting to play these songs for y’all has been unbelievably fun. 🌷 Send A Prayer My Way Tour rolls on tonight. Keep an eye out for more tour news soon.”

In addition to her collaboration with Torres, the singer-songwriter is also one-third of the indie group Boygenius, which features Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers.
The group won three Grammys in 2024, taking home trophies for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Not Strong Enough,” as well as Best Alternative Music Album.
As a solo artist, the Tennessee-born Baker is best known for her compelling lyrics, many of which focus on religion and her experience as a queer woman from the South.
