Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel have not made any wedding plans, despite being engaged for two years. The lovebirds are just enjoying their time together and aren’t putting much pressure on tying the knot.
“We’ve just been having so much fun traveling with the kids and filming this show and stuff. So no, we have not actually made any plans yet, which, it’s been two years now since I proposed,” Scott, 47, told People magazine.
And while there may not be any immediate rush to exchanging vows, Scott says that he and his fiancee are still on the same page with what they want — when the time comes.
“Whatever we do, it has to be meaningful to us and we want to gather our friends and family and have a good time,” he shared, adding “we want to keep it very, very intimate.”

Deschanel, 45, was previously married to Jacob Pechenik, with whom she shares two children, Elsie, 10, and Charlie, 8. Scott has fully embraced his role as bonus dad and seems to have a lot of fun with Deschanel’s kids.
“I always knew I would be a great dad — former clown, magician, I can build stuff — and it’s been incredible. You see your life transform, your priorities become your kids, and when they have a performance that they’re doing at school, or working on some of their homework, or whatever it might be, it’s a joy,” he told Today.com in 2023.
Scott and Deschanel have been together since 2019.
