As much as The Challenge: Vets and New Threats has been focused on the “new threats” so far, this week’s episode of the MTV series was mostly vet-focused. The heavily-teased rivalry between Johnny Bananas and Olivia came to the forefront, causing the seven-time champion to gloat, “I am The Challenge” during deliberation. Tension brewed between partners, as Nia bristled with Gabe over his venting his frustrations. And it all led to a shocking and sudden removal from the game.

Who was eliminated on The Challenge: Vets & New Threats Season 41 tonight?
Nia Moore
Nia Moore is far from new to The Challenge. But she still experienced a first in her six seasons on the show, injuring her knee in the opening mountain climb. While she tried to mitigate her malady as much as possible, it did make her one of the weaker vets in the house. It got to the point where Gabe vented about his frustrations about getting picked by her to the rest of the house. When word got back to Nia, we saw a breeze of the “Hurricane Nia” of the past, as she confronted him over his opinion of her. Unfortunately, while Gabe’s comments got him in trouble, they proved to be prophetic. Due to Nia’s knee, her and Gabe couldn’t participate in the daily, sending her automatically into elimination. And, just when she was ready to square off against America, she was informed her injury was too great, literally kneecapping her and taking her out of the season.

This week’s daily was so intense it even had the most seasoned vets grimacing. While one partner was tasked with solving a simple slide puzzle, the other’s swimming skills were put to the test, as they had to rock climb up a tall tower, then dive underneath. Justin and Olivia came away the winners, cementing themselves as the leaders in the clubhouse in terms of points. They got the option to save one team, and chose Izzy and Turbo.
