Jim Bob Duggar shocked fans when he made a rare cameo in his daughter Jessa Duggar‘s birth vlog after she welcomed baby No. 6.
“No. 39,” Jim Bob, 60, said in a clip shared via YouTube on Friday, August 8, as he held his newest grandchild. “He’s a keeper. How much did he weigh?”
Jessa, 32, then chimed in to tell her father that her son weighed “10 pounds even.”
“You know I said 9.15,” Jim Bob replied. “That’s what I guessed.”
Jessa said that her mom, Michelle Duggar, also guessed the baby would be around nine pounds, while her husband, Ben Seewald, told Jim Bob, “So, the doctor said, ‘I think that’s a 10-pounder. That’s one of the biggest babies I’ve delivered.'”
“This was a beautiful moment, and we’re so thankful,” Jessa said of the birth experience in the video. “Seven and a half hours of labor, and praise the Lord, everything went so smoothly. It was a beautiful experience in the end.”
The Counting On continued, “My mom is absolutely wonderful. She was there every step of the way, helping me, supporting me, coaching me. I had a wonderful birth team.”
Jim Bob and Michelle, 58, share 19 kids and 39 grandchildren. While the parents rose to fame starring on their family’s TLC shows, they have maintained more private lives after Counting On was canceled in 2021 in light of their son Josh Duggar‘s arrest.
