Jessie J is updating her fans after her surgery for breast cancer.
The 37-year-old British pop star, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 1, to give a detailed update on her recovery.
“I’m good,” she wrote. “Missing being an active Mum/human the most. But it’s been nice to slow down and Sky is having a blast with Nanny and Grandad.”

In terms of her physical recovery, the “Domino” singer admitted that “it’s still uncomfortable” and “a little painful,” but assured fans she “can handle that.”
She also shared that she’s been doing recovery exercises and “trying to eat super clean.”
In terms of pain management, Jessie is not relying on medication, noting that she has “stopped” taking her pain meds. “Just not my thing. Also like to feel how it feels so I don’t overdo it.”

Jessie comically celebrated the fact that she’s been able to successfully go to the bathroom, writing, “I have now done a 💩🎉🫀🔋,” but added that she still has “my drain… Hoping it’s out by the end of the week.”
Overall, the musician said she’s “feeling positive and grateful” after undergoing the procedure.
She also shared a note to any fans who might see her out and about post-op.
“[If] I seem a little out of it, I am,” she wrote. “It’s not personal. I don’t have what I usually have to give energy wise, understandably. I will get there. It’s a slow road. For now, I am taking it easy. Enjoying the slow vibes and staying positive.”
Jessie also shared a photo of herself holding her son Sky, writing, “Soon my boy we will cuddle.”

Jessie previously shared her cancer diagnosis with fans on June 3 in an Instagram post.
“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she wrote at the time. “I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.”
And on June 16, she announced to the sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium in Wembley, U.K. that it was her “last show before I go to beat breast cancer!”
