Jessica Biel is sharing how a comment about her appearance from her son inspired her to get philosophical.
The “Better Sister” star, 43, who shares sons Silas and Phineas with husband Justin Timberlake, opened up in a TikTok video about how one of the couple’s boys told her she looked “old.”
“I woke up this morning and my son looked at me and said, ‘You look old.’ Yeah, that’s what I got this morning and I was trying to figure out how to respond,” said Biel, who relayed the story while walking outside. “And I said, ‘Oh well, it’s OK. We’re all getting older. You’re gonna get older. I’m gonna get older. We’re all getting older.’”
“And he said, ‘I hope you don’t look like a grandma,’” continued Biel.
“And then I was like, ‘Oh my God, I am gonna look like a grandma one day’ and I told him that,” she continued, adding, “Then it really got me thinking about, wow, life is moving fast and grandma days might be shortly on the horizon.”
Biel then shared a word of advice with other moms, telling them, “So, I don’t know. Let your kid ride his Tonka truck all up and down the dirt road for as long as he wants to because one day you’re gonna be Grandma. You’re not gonna be doing all that s—,” Biel said. “Or maybe you will.”
“I hope I’m the grandma who drives around with the Tonka truck. A Power Wheel. I hope so. Anyway, here’s to looking old,” she concluded.

Biel wrote in text over her video, “pov: your son calls you old.”
She jokingly captioned her post, “They don’t lie. Even when you really want them to.”
Many of Biel’s followers commented to say they agreed with her take on aging.
“It’s a blessing to grow old and look like a grandma,” wrote one. “Some do not get that opportunity. It’s all in perspective.”
“If we are lucky we all see the grandma days!” added someone else.
Others had fun picturing Biel and her actor-musician husband with grandkids in the future.
“You and Justin grandparents. So cute,” gushed one.
