Jeremy Allen White made his Met Gala debut tonight in a sleek suit—a far cry from the white T-shirt and chef’s apron that shot him to stardom when The Bear first started making waves in 2022. Since he began leading the beloved FX drama, White has become one of Hollywood’s buzziest up-and-comers, as well as a global ambassador for Calvin Klein. Tonight, he opted for a look befitting his rising profile: a striped three-piece suit by Louis Vuitton, styled with a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch and Bombas socks.
In an August 2024 interview with GQ, White shared that he doesn’t see himself as “a fashion guy, really,” despite his increasingly infamous looks. His approach is style is focused on “what makes you feel confident and comfortable.” The actor has repeatedly worked with Calvin Klein on red carpet looks as part of his ambassadorship, and he said of the brand, “I’m so lucky that I have Calvin making these sorts of decisions, and then I go in and I kind of just say, ‘Well, this feels more comfortable to me, this feels less comfortable.’…What I really enjoy seeing in men’s suiting in particular is: Does somebody look comfortable? Does it look effortless? Does it look easy? If a suit is well-made and structured to your body, it helps you feel more confident and empowered and effortless and cool, ultimately.”
