Jensen Ackles, 47, is one of those actors who seems to form a real bond with practically everyone on the sets of his films and shows. His famous friendships seem full of true connection as co-stars like Misha Collins, 50, and Jared Padalecki, 42, will happily attest too.

Perhaps that’s why fans are swooning over a tender moment shared by Ackles and Eric Dane, 52, his newest co-star in their latest show Countdown.
The two shared a sweet hug and short intimate conversation on the red carpet for their new series amid the recent news that Dane was diagnosed with chronic illness ALS.
Fans were so touched at the heartwarming moment, praising the two actors’ “vulnerable” moment.
“Real men show affection,” noted one commenter.
The show, set to premiere on June 25, follows the story of LAPD detective Mark Meachum (Ackles) who is put on a special task force team to investigate the broad daylight murder of an officer with the Department of Homeland security. Dane plays Nathan Blythe, the leader of his hand-picked task force full of misfits who is determined to bring them together to solve this mystery.
When asked by People, Ackles had nothing but wonderful things to say about Dane.
“He’s a total stud,” Ackles said. “He has such a command of the scenes and the set, just in his stillness and his quiet leadership. And it’s something that he brings off-set too…There is just a quiet leadership to him that I just really learned from. So to get to mix it up with him on screen, I had to bring it.”
