Jennifer Love Hewitt is soaking up all the magic that the full moon and 2025 Lion’s Gate Portal has to offer.
The I Know What You Did Last Summer actress, 46, revealed her favorite manifestation practices during the Friday, August 8, Lion’s Gate portal and ahead of the Saturday, August 9, full moon.
“OK, also, to go with what I was saying earlier about manifesting the Lions Gate portal tonight, my book [Inheriting Magic], all that stuff. There’s also a little section in there of fun things to do with your kids to create magic,” Jennifer said in an August 8 Instagram video. “One of the ones that my kids and I do is called moon water. It’s very, very simple.”
The Client List star instructed fans to fill a cup with filtered water and write an intention on the bottle or an attached piece of paper.
“Anyway, you put the bottle of water out under tonight’s moon, and the idea is that it like soaks up all of the goodness of manifestation and joy and like good things coming to you,” she continued. “Which is great for any kid, honestly, to believe in and take in as early as you want them to.”

Jennifer explained that the water is to be consumed the next morning.
“Then you drink the bottle of water that whole next day, believing and feeling inside that you have taken in your intention and the goodness of the moon,” she said. “You created a little magic, you’re hydrating, it’s fun to do with your kids.”
Some fans shared their love for the moon water ritual, while others revealed what they intended to manifest.
“Manifesting a Ghost Whisperer reboot while rewatching,” one person wrote.
A second added, “I’m gonna do this and manifest a IKWYDLS [I Know What You Did Last Summer] sequel with you and Brandi.”
The Lions Gate Portal occurs each year when the star Sirius and the sun in Leo align. The portal is open between July 28 and August 12, with a peak date of August 8. The full moon is to reach its complete phase at 3:55 a.m. EDT on August 9.
