If you thought the pop-of-red trend was so last year, think again. Jennifer Lawrence has spent all spring making a case for the fad, and frankly, she has me convinced.
We’ve lately seen the actor in red-and-white sneakers, a red jacket, and this week—on maybe the first nice day New York City has had in months—she emerged in a pop-of-red fit that was comfy, polished, and a little sassy.
For comfort, she wore a cozy, slate-gray zip-up hoodie over a classic white T-shirt—her favorite wardrobe staple. Rather than pair the sweatshirt with matching sweatpants, Lawrence went more elevated, with some breezy, wide-leg black pants.
The sassiness of the look came from the burst of color at Lawrence’s feet. This was courtesy of a pair of watermelon-red red mesh flats with a glittery floral embroidery on the top. The slides looked like something one could buy at a local farmer’s market, but we’re assuming they actually hailed from a super exclusive designer drop we know nothing about—because while she is low-key in her personality, Lawrence is always decked out in the latest fashion. (That said, she has stepped out in jelly sandals—and more than once—so you never know.)
Mango also has a similar (sold out) shoe style, as do Target and Amazon.
The No Hard Feelings star capped off her street style look with super-oversize black shades and, quite inexplicably, a black baseball cap with the movie title Twilight: Breaking Dawn in red text. We love when merch makes it into our stars’ everyday wardrobes.
