Jennifer Lawrence didn’t land a role in Twilight, but that didn’t affect her status as a fan of the franchise!
The Hunger Games actress, 34, was spotted out and about in New York City on Friday, May 2, in a casual outfit that showed her love for the The Twilight Saga.
For her outing, Lawrence wore a black leather jacket with a tall row of buttons, giving off a vibe similar to that of the members of the Volturi, the antagonistic governing body and vampire coven in the film series.
The actress also wore an oversized white T-shirt with a graphic print that was concealed by the jacket, and paired the top with a cream-colored maxi skirt featuring a dainty lace trim.

Lawrence completed the look with black open-toe sandals, a red printed drawstring bag and further accessorized with the addition of black sunglasses and a black cap with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 embroidered on it in red thread — and in the franchise’s signature font — to keep her highlighted blonde hair contained.
The Twilight hat serves as a cheeky nod to Lawrence’s personal history with the franchise. She previously revealed that she tried out for a role in the first movie before she landed The Hunger Games.

During a June 2023 episode of The Rewatchables podcast, Lawrence told host Bill Simmons, “I auditioned for Twilight. They turned me down immediately. I didn’t even get a callback, but my life would have been totally different.”
Big things were ultimately in the cards for the No Hard Feelings actress. A year after trying out for Twilight, she landed the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, which became a hit. Like The Twilight Saga, The Huger Games franchise spawned multiple movies, ending with four filmed between 2012 and 2015.

“I have to churn out movies in between so that I’m not only known for this franchise,” Lawrence added. “I was still in a franchise, so I was still trying to counteract the franchise-ness and I would still be doing that if I was in Twilight.”

The actress also revealed that she almost decided against starring in The Hunger Games because she didn’t want a similar level of fame to that of Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
“I didn’t want to be the most famous person on the planet,” she said. “That’s a very different life than what I had pictured for myself.”
