Jenna Ortega Reveals Her Hilarious ‘Dream Guest Star’ for ‘Wednesday’ Season 3 originally appeared on Parade.
After a nearly 3-year-long wait, Netflix’s Wednesday is finally almost back for season 2. The first part, 4 episodes drops on the streaming platform on August 6th, with the final 4 episodes dropping a month later.
Ahead of release, Jenna Ortega took to the carpet for the premiere of the show’s second season. When asked who a dream guest star might be, the actress gave an unexpected answer:
Ortega starts off by giving the most accurate answer: “I don’t have a dream guest. Wednesday doesn’t want people around her.”
However, she also says that her personal dream guest would be Danny DeVito, and that co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones agrees. Devito could totally match Wednesday’s energy. He would also be great at providing comedic relief in the show’s more tense moments.
It’s not out of the realm of possibility: Danny DeVito and Tim Burton, Wednesday’s director/executive producer, have worked together for years. DeVito, Burton, and Ortega (who is also an executive producer this season), also recently worked together on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024), where the actor did a little cameo.
Will There be a 3rd Season of ‘Wednesday’?
While Ortega just dropped her dream guest star for Wednesday season 3, some fans are wondering if it will get a chance to come to fruition. Short answer: yes.
Wednesday has been renewed for a 3rd season, which is set to begin filming later this year. No official release date has been set, though many believe it’ll be at least late 2026 before we see any episodes.
Until then, we’ll be waiting to hear if Danny DeVito gets a call from Tim Burton. Hopefully we’ll see him there!
