Jenna Bush Hager marked another memorable year in her marriage with Henry Hager — but with a delay!
The Today with Jenna & Friends host, 43, celebrated her 17th wedding anniversary with her husband on Saturday, May 10, with a sentimental tribute dedicated to him on social media on Sunday, May 11.
“Been drying my tears for 17 years yesterday,” Jenna wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a photograph from the couple’s wedding day, which showed Henry, 47, wiping away her tears as they exchanged vows at the altar.

The pair initially met when Henry was working for her father, George W. Bush. After three months of dating, the former first daughter asked Henry to marry her, but he turned her down, which led to a “humiliating” Valentine’s Day incident that Jenna previously recounted on Today with Hoda & Jenna.
She explained at the time that she had mistakenly believed he was proposing, a moment which later ended up being printed in The Washington Post.
Eventually, Henry did propose — after getting the blessing from her politician father to do so — and the couple got engaged in 2007. One year later, they said “I do” in May 2008 in front of 200 guests at her family’s lakeside ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Since tying the knot, the couple has expanded their family, welcoming daughter Mila Hager in 2013, daughter Poppy in 2015 and son Hal in 2019.
Over the years, the two — especially Jenna — has not been shy about sharing their love for each other on social media and on TV.

In May 2023, Jenna posted a carousel of photos from their wedding day and other special moments since tying the knot in order to commemorate their 15th wedding anniversary.
“15 years with HH’s hand in mine. I love him. A lot. ❤️❤️,” she wrote in her caption.
