Jelly Roll isn’t shying away from sharing the details of his weight loss journey.

The country rocker—who is set to compete in a SummerSlam team match with Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre on August 2 and 3—sat down with WWE broadcasters Stephanie McMahon and Elyse Ashleigh Dudzinski, sharing his weight loss goals and plans for having surgery.

He revealed that he has been overweight since a “really, really young” age, having been “over 300 pounds coming out of middle school.

“I’m gonna be under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school the night I walk into that ring at SummerSlam,” Jelly Roll, 40, continued.

The acclaimed singer and rapper revealed that he steps on the scale once per month and that he’s putting in the effort to reach his goal.

“I mean, I’m doing the work. Ain’t no way it ain’t, you know what I mean?”

He also discussed his plans to be on the cover of Men’s Health by March 2026—a goal he announced while on his wife’s Dumb Blonde podcast in December 2024—and his new goal of doing a shirtless cover in 2027.

“I’m a long way from that, obviously,” the superstar said of his 2027 goal before revealing his surgery plans.

“I’m gonna have to get my skin cut.”

When asked if he has to undergo the surgery, the “Need a Favor” singer said, “I’m gonna have to because it’s interfering with me and my daily functions. It’s not even an aesthetic thing.”

Fans shared their support for Jelly Roll on Instagram, with one writing in the comments of the interview clip, “He has los[t] a lot of weight!! Wonderful weight loss journey.”

Another called him a “legend,” while a third said, “Respect the h–l outta this dude, he really put the work in.”

“Well Done Jelly Roll,” a fourth fan commented.

“We love you Jelly Roll! Keep up the great work,” a fifth wrote.
