The Tuesday, July 15, episode of The Valley follows Jason and Janet Caperna as they get matching tattoos of their wedding rings
The couple got the tattoos in response to costar Kristen Doute bringing up rumors that Jason takes his wedding band off when he goes out
“Janet and I are getting this tattoo so that she can rest assured that whenever I’m out, I’ll 100% have a ring on my finger,” Jason said during the episode
Jason and Janet Caperna have set their love in ink.
In the Tuesday, July 15, episode of The Valley, the couple decided to get their wedding bands tattooed on their ring fingers amid ongoing rumors that Jason takes off his ring when he goes out (which costar Kristen Doute brought up in a previous episode).
“Jason and I have talked about this ring rumor often, and I think I made a joke to Jason, like, ‘Well, you should just get your ring tattooed on and then nobody will have anything to say ever. It just always will be there,'” Janet said in a confessional. “This will be my fourth tattoo, and I’ve always wanted Jason to get a tattoo, so if this is what has to happen to get him in the chair, alright.”
Jason added in a confessional of his own that “Janet and I are getting this tattoo so that she can rest assured that whenever I’m out, I’ll 100% have a ring on my finger — even if it’s not the actual gold ring, it’s the tattooed ring.”

When the tattoos — Jason’s in black ink and Janet’s in white ink — were completed, Janet told Jason that he’s “so great” that “sometimes” she asks herself, “What did I ever do to deserve this?”
“I’ve said a million times, like, something must be wrong with Jason that he’s with me, and I hope he doesn’t ever wake up and say, ‘I see what everybody else sees,'” Janet said in a confessional.
Jason reassured her it’s “natural to feel that way.”
“Life’s been good for us,” Jason told her. “We’ve been pretty blessed lately. So, I’m always ready for, am I going to wake up and something bad is going to happen?”
Janet said she recently turned off her comments because she was getting flooded with messages asking, “Why is he with her?”
“A comment I see so often is, ‘Wow, he’s great, and she’s a monster,'” she continued. “The insults Kristen’s used towards me recently have been things that I see in the comments. It’s clear she’s reading this stuff and then using it against me to hurt me.”
Because of the ring rumors, Janet said commenters asking why Jason is with her could now say, “Oh, [he’s with her] because he cheats on her.”
Janet said that “as silly as” the ring tattoos were, she wanted it to signify it’s “us against the world.”
Jason told Janet that seeing a negative comment about yourself online “hurts no matter what.”
“The kind of person who is going to leave a negative comment that’s not constructive criticism they probably have more bad stuff going on in their lives than you know,” he said.

In the end, Jason said “the ring rumor has gone full circle” and “actually strengthened our relationship.”
“Thanks for getting a tattoo of your ring on yourself because now I’ve got you forever,” Jason told Janet. “We’re like Pam [Anderson] and Tommy [Lee] over here.”
