It’s been a week of firsts for Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann.
Days before the couple announced that they’re expecting their first baby together, they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. The soon-to-be parents tied the knot in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, on Aug. 15, 2024, and each recently commemorated one year of marriage on social media.
“Just celebrated one year of marriage with my favorite person, and it has been the best year! I look forward to many more years together!” Jana, 35, captioned a video compilation of sweet moments between her and her hubby on Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 16.
In the clips, Jana showed how she and Wissmann celebrated their marriage milestone by enjoying breakfast at Engine House Cafe in Lincoln, Nebraska, before shopping at their local TJ Maxx. Later that day, they enjoyed a steakhouse dinner and ice cream for dessert.
“We had a wonderful time celebrating our first anniversary!” the Counting On alum wrote in an onscreen text overlay. “Happy one year to my Forever Love!”

Wissmann also penned his own tribute on Instagram alongside a compilation of playful videos and photos of them together from over the year.
“I know this is a day late, but yesterday I was SO blessed to have celebrated one year of life and marriage with my best friend!” he wrote. “Thru the ups and downs, life with you only keeps getting better and better! Love you more than ever @janamduggar!!!!!”
In a joint Instagram post a few days later on Aug. 18, the couple revealed that they are welcoming “a little bundle of joy” in January 2026.

Two days before the celebration, Jana told PEOPLE of her wedding: “I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday.”
“For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.”
