Jalen Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins agreed ahead of the 2025 NFL draft they would mutually seek a trade to find a new home for the three-time All-Pro.
No such deal came about before the draft, so the 30-year-old cornerback remains on the trading block as the next phase of the NFL offseason begins.
Ramsey is fresh off a season during which he recorded 60 tackles, two interceptions and 11 passes defended. He was Pro Football Focus’ 10th-graded cornerback out of 116 qualified players at the position and allowed a 93.5 passer rating.
Why wasn’t Ramsey traded before the draft given his strong performance? The veteran has four years remaining on his contract, including the entirety of a three-year, $72.3 million extension he signed with the Dolphins on eve of the 2024 season. As such, teams may be reluctant to give up high-end draft capital for Ramsey – unless Miami is willing to eat some of the money remaining on his deal.
Still, Ramsey remains a quality starting cornerback and should pique the interest of several contenders who need help at the position. Below is a handful of teams that could consider targeting Ramsey as the Dolphins continue to shop him.

Los Angeles Rams
Sean McVay has made no secret of his admiration for Ramsey, who played for the Rams for three-and-a-half seasons. The 39-year-old coach referred to the veteran cornerback as a “total stud” in a recent radio interview and noted Los Angeles was weighing a pursuit of Ramsey.
The Rams could use a true, No. 1 cornerback, and Ramsey would allow Ahkello Weatherspoon and Darious Williams to settle into complementary roles within Los Angeles’ secondary. The Rams have just under $19.9 million in cap space available, so they could find a way to make room for Ramsey if they so desire.

Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders may not be a top contender like the Rams, but they also lack a true No. 1 cornerback. They invested a third-round pick in raw, converted receiver Darien Porter to play the position but could stand to find a proven upgrade over the trio of Eric Stokes, Jakorian Bennett and Decamerion Richardson, who are expected to challenge for playing time on the outside this season.
Ramsey would provide the Raiders with that. Pete Carroll would likely be interested in acquiring a bigger-bodied, physical cornerback to help him try to recreate the “Legion of Boom” in Las Vegas.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons got aggressive adding upgrades to their defense in the 2025 NFL draft. They traded a 2026 first-round pick to move up for James Pearce Jr. and pair him with fellow first-round pass rusher Jalon Walker to fix the team’s weak pass rush.
Atlanta could still use a higher-end partner for star cornerback A.J. Terrell to improve upon a defense that ranked 28th in EPA last season. Terrell and Ramsey would create an imposing cornerback duo that should pair well with the team’s improved pass rush.
Cincinnati Bengals
Speaking of teams with low-ranked defenses, the Bengals checked in at just 23rd in defensive EPA. They needed to upgrade all three levels of their defense in the 2025 NFL draft but failed to add an impact player in the secondary.
Ramsey would provide a more consistent No. 1 option on the outside than Cam Taylor-Britt while bringing a similar physicality to the position. Ramsey would complement speed-threat DJ Turner well and help Al Golden put the finishing touches on what Cincinnati hopes is an improved defense next season.

Tennessee Titans
The Titans have made a lot of changes to their roster during the offseason, but cornerback has remained relatively status quo. The team spent a sixth-round pick on California’s Marcus Harris – and signed several undrafted defensive backs – but didn’t add much high-end talent to the position group. That isn’t great news considering how much the team’s top cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed, struggled in limited action last season.
Adding Ramsey would take some pressure off Sneed to be the team’s top cornerback and allow him to ensure he’s healthy. If both veterans pan out, it would be very hard to throw against the Titans. That makes this move one for Tennessee to consider, especially since it is armed with the fifth-most cap space league-wide, per OverTheCap.com.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles would be a dark horse option to trade for Ramsey, but never count Howie Roseman out from pulling off an aggressive move. Philadelphia lost Darius Slay and Isaiah Rodgers during the offseason and could use a veteran to pair with the strong second-year duo of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
Ramsey could slot in across from Mitchell with DeJean playing the slot and create one of the best nickel packages in the NFL. Vic Fangio will love having Ramsey available, so perhaps the Eagles will be willing to use their $24.8 million in cap space to make way for the veteran cornerback – provided they still have ample space after signing their 2025 draft picks.
