It was only days ago that Hurts confirmed, as part of Men’s Health magazine’s May/June 2025 cover story, that he and Burrows were married.
According to the outlet, while doing the interview, Hurts said of Burrows that by the time the feature was published, “You can call her my wife.”
Their engagement was initially announced in a September 2024 interview with Essence, which featured photos of the couple both wearing white.
In one photo, the pair could be seen holding hands while surrounded by candles with a violinist playing in the background.

While the two have been relatively private about their romance, Hurts previously shared during an April 2023 interview with Essence that he and Burrows had been dating on and off since they met at the University of Alabama and that he considered himself “spoken for.”
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts told the outlet of his feelings for Burrows. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
Months after the interview, the couple made a rare appearance at the Time100 Next Gala in New York City, where the NFL star was honored on the list of 2023’s rising leaders.
The magazine noted how the athlete, “who this summer signed a contract making him the highest paid football player in history, [is] ‘a model of how to approach a job.’ “
Burrows has also been by his side during some of his more recent wins. She was seen giving him a big kiss after his Super Bowl win in February and also celebrated with him at Disney World.
