Jack Nicholson’s grandson Sean Nicholson was hit with a temporary restraining order by his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Lawlor, days after his arrest for felony domestic violence, Us Weekly can confirm.
On Monday, August 11, Lawlor, 28, filed a petition seeking a temporary restraining order against Nicholson, 29.
Lawlor described the days leading up to Nicholson’s arrest on August 7. She said the most recent incident of alleged abuse occurred on July 23.
She claimed Nicholson’s mom, Jennifer, called 911 and the security guard at the apartment during the incident.
Lawlor claimed Nicholson texted her saying he was suicidal and was “threatening to take a full bottle of valium if I did not come over.”
She said he noticed he had taken pills “along with alcohol and cocaine.”

“I read texts saying he had been buying narcotics,” Lawlor said. “I sent these texts to his mother as she was supposed to be sober and I did not want to be near him if he was on drugs and he then put his hands on my head and [not legible] and then my teeth were broken.”
She wrote, “My front teeth were knocked out upon force.”
She said she briefly lost consciousness during the incident.
“I tried to leave and he took my phone. Eventually, I was able to leave when I started screaming.”

When asked how often this happened, she said, “[he] would not let me leave [the] apartment (over the course of 2023 – current), dragged me back into the apartment, he would often threaten to harm himself if I left him.”
“He would constantly call on various numbers, including blocked calls, multiple emails of the years,” she added.

Lawlor pleaded for a protective order requiring Nicholson to stay 100 yards away from her, her home and her school.
As Us previously reported, Nicholson was released on $50,000 bond after being arrested on felony “corporal injury on a spouse.” The report does not name the victim.

People reported that Nicholson had recently completed a stint in rehab and called Lawlor over after he returned home. Nicholson or his famous grandfather has yet to comment on the situation.
“Victim stated that she blacked out and when she opened her eyes, realized her tooth had broken,” the outlet said the police report noted.
For his part, Sean’s Academy-Award winning grandfather has kept a low profile in the last couple of years and hasn’t starred in a film in over a decade.
His last film was the 2010 romantic comedy How Do You Know with Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson. The entertainer was last seen court side at a 2023 Lakers game with his son, Ray Nicholson.
