A couple of behind-the-scenes pictures at General Hospital are hinting that Sasha and Michael are expecting a baby girl from their illicit one-night stand.
Proud mom, Charlotte Coughlin, took to Instagram to show off her sweet baby, Levi Clark Coughlin, in his acting debut on General Hospital, but in the process may have also spoiled one of the big summer secrets, the sex of baby Gilmore/Corbin/Scorpio/Corinthos/Spencer/Quartermaine.
Coughlin posted pictures to her Instagram story from a dressing room at GH with the captions, “My baby is officially an actor and played a baby that got baptized today,” and “And played a girl.”
The only baby currently due on GH is the baby Sasha is expecting, so it is reasonably certain that Levi is playing Sasha’s child.
Last year, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael (formerly played by Chad Duell) had a drunken one-night stand after he found out that his wife Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was having an affair with his uncle Drew (Cameron Mathison), and she found out that she had been unknowingly dating her cousin Cody (Josh Kelly). That night resulted in a baby that is due in July. Further complicating matters is Michael’s pending custody fight with his soon-to-be ex-wife, which caused Sasha to name Michael’s other uncle, Jason (Steve Burton), as the father of her bundle of joy. Jason agreed to play along to protect Michael, who is like a son to him.
GH fans have been debating for months about whether the baby would be a boy or a girl. Michael already has one of each, and Sasha tragically lost her newborn son Liam in a heartbreaking story 2 years ago. Some thought they would welcome a boy, and he would have the same genetic heart issue that struck his brother, father, and grandfather, which would reveal his true paternity.
Others thought it would be a girl so that the show could pay tribute to the late Leslie Charleson, who passed away earlier this year and played Michael’s grandmother, Monica Quartermaine. If the baby is a girl, smart money says that Monica will be part of her name. Monica Michelle has a nice ring to it!
