This past weekend the Trophée Chopard was presented at Cannes, as it has been for the past 25 years, as a symbol of the storied Maison’s commitment to film and nurturing emerging talent. As is the customary during the official festival calendar, the ceremony took place on the Croisette. This year’s recipients were Marie Colomb and Finn Bennet, who were each presented the iconic trophy by this year’s “godmother” Angelina Jolie.
Of course, the ceremony was attended by a number of luminaries, including Juliette Binoche, the President of the Cannes Festival jury, as well fellow jury member Halle Berry, along with distinguished guests such as Carla Bruni. The event was co-hosted by Festival President Iris Knobloch, General Delegate Thierry Frémaux, and the creator of the award, Caroline Scheufele, who is the Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director.
After the ceremony, invitees celebrated on the Chopard Rooftop to cap off a glittering night overlooking the iconic bay.
