As Jordon Hudson took the stage at this year’s Miss Maine USA pageant, she had the support of her boyfriend Bill Belichick from the sidelines.
The competition — which featured 17 total contestants — unfolded this past weekend, with the preliminary round taking place on Saturday, May 10 and the finals on Sunday, May 11. Hudson, 24, nabbed the pageant’s style award and placed third overall, behind runner-up Mara Carpenter and winner Shelby Howell.
Hudson also competed in Miss Maine USA 2024. Last year, she came in second place behind winner Anne Baldridge, who returned to the stage this weekend to crown her successor. Howell will now represent Maine in the next round of competition, the 2025 Miss USA pageant.

As the group paraded about on stage in a number of outfits, including swimwear and an evening gown ensemble, Belichick watched on from the front row. The former NFL coach, 73, attended both days of the pageant, which was held at the Holiday Inn Portland – By the Bay.
Before the shows began, the competitors kept busy in rehearsals, followed by hair and makeup sessions. The group took breaks for lunch and to interview with judges. Hudson — who represented the town of Hancock — smiled and waved at onlookers and photographers in the lobby as they passed through in three glamorous outfits not seen on stage.
On day one, she was seen in a matching green snakeskin set and later in a Carolina blue gradient asymmetrical dress, the latter seemingly a nod to boyfriend Belichick, who now coaches the UNC football team.
Before finals, she walked into rehearsals wearing a sparkly mini dress beaded with a coral reef scene. She accessorized the coastal-inspired look with a lobster-shaped purse, an ensemble she previously wore on the red carpet at a Sports Illustrated party earlier this year during Super Bowl weekend.
She previously told PEOPLE that the outfit had a sentimental meaning for her, as it was inspired by her “nautical family history.” She even customized her bag to spell out “Save Maine Fishermen” in black rhinestones. “They need help, and hopefully through fashion, we can bring awareness to the fact that fishermen and lobstermen in Maine are struggling,” Hudson told PEOPLE about her look in Februray. “I’d like to use this national platform to bring attention to a small-town issue. They need help, and hopefully through fashion, we can bring awareness to the fact that fishermen and lobstermen in Maine are struggling.”
Belichick supported Hudson throughout the preliminaries, and he was ushered out of the room shortly after the first day came to a close. After the audience left, the contestants stuck around for a private “pizza and pajama party,” as the emcees dubbed their gathering at the end of the show.
Over an hour later, the women flooded into the lobby wearing chic sleepwear sets. Hudson was one of the last to leave, heading back up to her accommodations solo. She stood out in a long, silky purple dressing gown with fluffy trim.
On Sunday, Belichick was seated in the front row by his girlfriend’s father, Heath Hudson. The two men were cordial as they rooted for the former cheerleader, and both burst into applause when she got the special award for style.

The Miss Maine USA hopefuls competed alongside the younger, Miss Maine Teen USA division, and the competition progressed through an opening number and a swimsuit round (the teens wore athletic attire), finishing with all of the women and girls in evening gowns.
All of the contestants wore the same three looks on both days of the pageant. Hudson sparkled in a gold mini dress during the first act, where she stood directly in front of Belichick’s seat. She later strutted across the stage in a shimmery teal bikini with a gold armband and heels before changing into a deep purple glittering gown with a high slit.
On the second day, the pageant honored its overlap with Mother’s Day with a compilation of almost all of the Miss Maine and Miss Maine Teen contestants expressing their gratitude for their moms in pre-recorded videos. Hudson was noticeably absent from the reel, which played midway through the finals.
The influencer was among both the top 10 semi-finalists and the top five finalists; the latter group was given a final opportunity to vie for the crown by answering questions picked randomly from a container. Hudson shared a brief message with the audience before the emcee read out her question.

“I’m feeling an immense amount of pride right now,” she began. “I’m hoping that anybody who is watching this finds the strength to push through whatever it is that they’re going through and embodies that hate never wins.”
After the winner was crowned, the former New England Patriots general manager took an opportunity to chat with the current reigning Miss Massachusetts USA, Melissa Queenie Sapini. (Miss Maine USA and Miss Massachusetts USA are both run by the Clemente Organization.)
Later, Sapini — who won her state’s pageant in 2024 — told PEOPLE that she’s friendly with both Belichick and Hudson. During her post-show chat with the ex-NFL coach, she said he thanked her for “what she’s done for the state” as they briefly caught up.
Though other contestants lingered in the pageant space, taking photos and congratulating each other, second runner-up Hudson was quick to exit. She only briefly posed for pictures and celebrated with fellow contestants and attendees before leaving the building.
She and Belichick were spotted leaving the building together hand-in-hand. Hudson was still wearing her Hancock sash and violet evening gown upon departure.
