Greetings, Dear Reader,

We’re back with another edition of State of the Day, where I strip the euphemism and misdirection off the day’s news and give it to you straight, no ice, no mixer.

Mmmm that burns so good.

So what is it this week?

My favorite …

ARRESTS AND INDICTMENTS

Video went viral over the weekend of several unmarked cars screeching to a halt in Southeast DC, with plainclothes federal officers hopping out and nabbing a suspected criminal off the streets.

“That sh*t is real!” says the onlooker who filmed the video. “They really coming to the trenches, hoppin out and baggin your a** boy.”

Yes, yes indeed they are.

They’re doing more than that too. Trump wants to start prosecuting minors as adults in Washington. Kids between 12-17 make up 56% of carjackings in the nation’s capital, with 72% of those arrests involving illegal firearms, according to the Caldwell Institute for Public Safety.

As minors, they’re prosecuted by DC AG Brian Schwalb, but as adults, they’d go to US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro herself. Schwalb is famous for saying “we cannot prosecute and arrest our way out of it.”

As friend of the brand and editor at Townhall Corey Inganamort put it, “Well why not?”

“If there’s no detriment to actually committing crimes then people are going to keep doing them,” he concluded.

And while feds were blitzing the DC streets, Vice President JD Vance apparently left church Sunday and chose violence.

“If you look at what Tulsi and Kash Patel have revealed in the last few weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say there wasn’t aggressive violations of the law,” Vance said on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

Vance says that by lying to the intelligence services and using them to “launder” Clinton campaign talking points, the people involved essentially “defrauded” the American people.

“I absolutely think they broke the law and you’re going to see a lot of people get indicted.”

It’s a two-front war for Trump’s law enforcement goals. Clean up the out of control streets in America’s most lawless Democrat-run cities, but also take out the elites who are guilty of perpetrating the most damaging lies on the American public.

They might not seem like similar kinds of criminals, Dear Reader, but I’m here to tell you, they’re all just gangsters.

And there’s only one way to end gangster regimes: Disrupt, indict, arrest and then throw away the key.

WHAT I’M READING

Speaking of gangster regimes.
