We totally missed Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s presence at the 2025 Met Gala, but for what it’s worth, we got to see a ton of red carpet moments from the couple during awards season as Sel starred in the critically acclaimed Emilia Pérez. As for the reason why they skipped this year’s fashion Super Bowl? Sel recently hosted Rare Beauty’s 4th Annual Mental Health Summit in Los Angeles the day before the Met Gala.
The day before that, the couple opted for a chill night at home with friends, which Sel shared in a sweet photo dump on her Instagram profile.
These two just released their debut album, and Sel gushed about Benny in Interview Magazine. “The fact that he listened to me,” she said when asked what was so great about working together. “Sometimes it’s difficult for me to speak up. Most of my anxiety right now is wanting him to speak because I feel like he’s more talented than I am in this field. It’s like working with a great filmmaker. Whether we were together or not, I think he still would’ve listened to everything that I had to say, and he was able to almost transcribe it into music, into what the feeling of what I was talking about should be. And I really found that to be helpful because this album definitely feels just as much mine as I’m sure it does his.”
