Iconic Talk Show Host Thinks ‘The View’ Could Be Canceled originally appeared on Parade.
Rosie O’Donnell believes the end could be near for The View.
On August 6, O’Donnell — who hosted her own daytime talk show from 1996 through 2002 — made the claim on TikTok.
“You know what I just read today? ABC is ‘reviewing the liberal bias’ on The View. The VIEW. The show with five women speaking the own opinions – That’s the threat now,” O’Donnell captioned a post. “They say they’re not canceling it— they’re just ‘reviewing the bias.’ Which is code for – we’re gonna cancel it we’re just trying to soften you up first.”
O’Donnell’s lengthy captioned appeared to be warmly received on the platform, with many users agreeing with her feelings.
“Perfectly said Rosie!! Thank you for being YOU!” one person wrote.
“Way to go Rosie. Very well said thanks for speaking up,” someone else said.
“If they silenced all who speak out, male or female, no one will be watching tv. Streaming will be it and uncensored,” a third comment read.
“Right on point as always Rosie. I’ve loved you since I was little and I’ll always love you,” a fourth TikTok user added.

The View has been on the air since 1997 and has had a variety of hosts over the years. The show has pushed the envelope when it comes to politics and while some people really enjoy it, others have opposite feelings.
O’Donnell’s comments come after CBS announced that Stephen Colbert’s late night talk show would come to an end. The network has said that the decision was purely financial, but the move has opened up a wave of communication about politics and comedy, especially when it comes to late night talk.
