President Donald Trump has levied tariffs of 25% on vehicles imported into the U.S., and this will likely impact how much consumers pay for new vehicles — even those from American car brands.
“These tariffs will impact every global automaker, with European and Asian brands facing the largest cost increases, but even domestic automakers like Ford and General Motors [are] looking at substantial increases in the cost of components for vehicles assembled in the U.S.,” Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars, said in a press release.
According to a recent iSeeCars analysis, tariffs could potentially result in price increases of $6,000 to $16,000 for some of the most popular cars in the U.S. that are not produced domestically. Here’s a look at how much the most popular cars produced abroad may increase in price.
