Former Trump White House Communications Director Hope Hicks is joining Megyn Kelly’s media company as chief operating officer, the New York Post reported Monday.
Hicks will oversee business development at Devil May Care Media, which Kelly founded in 2020. Kelly praised Hicks in a statement to the Post as “strong, smart, strategic and the embodiment of class and poise.” (RELATED: Hope Hicks To Resign From White House, But Not Because Of The Riots: Report)
She’s at the top of a growing media conglomerate, and there’s no limit to where she can take it,” Kelly said. “My best-in-the-business staff and I are thrilled to have her on board.”
“Megyn has used her talent, integrity, and unparalleled credibility to create content unlike anything else available today,” Hicks told the Post. “I am incredibly humbled and thrilled to be joining Megyn and her team in continuing to build what is undoubtedly a flourishing business.”
A longtime Trump aide, Hicks served as press secretary on his 2016 campaign and later as White House communications director from 2017 to 2018. She became a Fox Corporation executive before returning to the White House in 2020 as counselor to the president, according to the Daily Beast.
She also worked in New York public relations and for the Trump Organization, where she helped manage Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand.
In 2022, Hicks testified before the House Jan. 6 Committee. She drew Trump’s ire after reportedly telling him he lost the 2020 election, according to “The Divider,” a book by Peter Baker and Susan Glasser.
