Hollywood legend Tim Curry, 79, is set to make a rare live appearance for an upcoming screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
ReMind Magazine reported that Curry’s Rocky Horror Picture Show co-stars Patricia Quinn, who played Magenta, Nell Campbell, who played Columbia, and Barry Bostwick, who played Brad Majors, will tour the United States in the fall of 2025 to screen the iconic 1975 film in honor of 50 years since its premiere. According to the publication, Curry’s official Facebook page confirmed that he will be appearing at the Nov. 2, 2025 screening in Anaheim, California.
“Audiences will enjoy a screening of the film in the company of the original Frank N Furter, Brad, Columbia and Magenta PLUS a live shadow cast, memorabilia display and lots more! This is the ONLY 50th anniversary screening Tim will be attending – so set your alarms for the presale!” read the portion of the caption.
Several fans took to the post’s comments section to share they were thrilled to hear Curry, who famously played Dr. Frank-N-Furter, will be at the screening.
“So very excited,” wrote a commenter.
“Amazing. I’m really pleased for everyone who can go in America. Enjoy, not jealous at all!!! Please come to the U.K,” added another.
“I knew he’d make an appearance! But ugh, wish he was at every single one,” shared a different person.
“Googling how fast I can get a passport rq,” commented a fan.
Curry originated the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter on the stage. During a 1994 interview with Take2MarkTV, Curry said he was advised to not star as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the film adaptation.
“It was my first film. And I think they thought, rightly or wrongly, that it would be prejudicial to a film career. And in the prevailing climate, they may have been right. But I think they were wrong. And I certainly wasn’t about to watch someone else play it,” said Curry with a small laugh.
