High Noon Vodka Seltzer is voluntarily issuing a recall over select packages of beverages after a “labeling error” accidentally lead to select cans of Celsius energy drink to be filled with alcohol.
The recall was initiated after a packaging supplier error allowed for empty cans of Celsius to be mistakenly shipped to High Noon where they were then filled with the brand’s signature vodka seltzer.
Certain packages of High Noon Beach Variety 12-pack cans are affected for including incorrectly packaged Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparking Blue Razz Edition cans.
“Some of these packs contain cans that are filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol and are mislabeled as CELSIUS® ASTRO VIBE™ Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top,” High Noon said in a company announcement. “Consumption of the liquid in these cans will result in unintentional alcohol ingestion.”

Eight states may be impacted by the labeling error — including Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin. Both products were shipped between July 21 and 23, according to High Noon.
“We are working with the FDA, retailers and distributors to proactively manage the recall to ensure the safety and well-being of our consumers,” High Noon told PEOPLE in a statement.
Lot codes can be found at the bottom of cans, and the mislabeled High Noon Cans have lot codes L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to L CCB 02JL25 3:11. These Celsius cans have a silver lid, as opposed to the typical black lid.
The labeling error contains only two lots of High Noon Beach Variety packs; Lot Codes L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to L CCC 17JL25 23:59 and L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 03:00.
No illness or adverse effects have been reported for the recall, per High Noon.
High Noon asks consumers who have purchased the recalled products should contact the companies consumer relations at consumerrelations@highnoonvodka.com to get more information on what to do next, including getting a refund.
Celsius has a fan in Dakota Johnson, who admitted that she didn’t know that Celsius was an energy drink while consuming mass amounts of it on set while directing her short film, Loser Baby
“I was like, ‘I’m so inspired. I’m awake all night long… I’m not sleeping because I’m just thinking about’— and it was because I was having like two Celsius a day,” Johnson told Variety in September 2024. “I didn’t realize that I was basically overdosing on caffeine,”
Most Celsius flavors average around 200 milligrams of caffeine per can, while High Noon flavors average 4.5% alcohol per can.
