Now that back to school season is officially upon us, many celebrity parents are getting ready to send their kids off to school… some for the very first time.
This can be a pretty emotional experience for moms of little ones, and this time around, that includes HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa. While the 2-year-old son she shares with husband Tarek El Moussa isn’t starting school just yet, he did just get his first taste of what preschool will be like, and he looks so proud.
El Moussa shared the update — along with some of the cutest photos ever — on Instagram on Tuesday, August 5, letting her followers know about Tristan’s latest milestone.

“My sweet boy had a ‘drop in’ at the sweetest little preschool today,” she wrote in her caption. “Even though we are not ready for pre school just yet… I am so proud of him and so happy that he loved it so much. And I’m proud of myself lol mama handled it well!”
Commenters gushed over how cute he is — and how much he looks exactly like his dad.
“He’s so adorable and so grown up. Tarek Jr. for sure!” one person wrote.
Another commenter added, “Wait a MINUTE! Wasn’t he just born yesterday?”
The El Moussas welcomed Tristan in January 2023, joining older siblings Taylor and Brayden, who Tarek shares with ex-wife Christina Haack.
Tristan really is growing up so fast. He might not be going to preschool right now, but it looks like when the time comes, he’ll be ready!
