Harry Styles has stayed out of the spotlight for most of 2025. He chose to skip all awards season events, and for tonight’s Met Gala, the singer continued to lay low. He was not spotted on the red carpet at the New York City affair. Styles was last seen pretty far away from the event, in Berlin on Friday.
Styles has only attended the Met Gala once. He made his debut in 2019, wearing Gucci.
Styles has yet to release any new music this year, and it’s unclear whether or not there’s a new project on the horizon. In March though, Styles’s rep shut down rumors that the singer would be doing a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. “To set the record straight, there has never been plans for Harry Styles to perform at Sphere,” the spokesperson told Billboard.
Styles has, however, still made headlines this year for a different feat. In March, he participated in the Tokyo marathon and ran a particularly impressive 7:47 pace.
The singer gave one of his last big interviews to Rolling Stone in 2022. The publication wrote about the star craving a smaller life despite his major fame.
He contrasted his onstage and offstage lives, saying, “When I’m working, I work really hard, and I think I’m really professional. Then when I’m not, I’m not. I’d like to think I’m open, and probably quite stubborn, too, and willing to be vulnerable. I can be selfish sometimes, but I’d like to think that I’m a caring person.”
He added that he prefers to keep his personal life a mystery. “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” he said. “There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”
