Sydney Sweeney may have a new man in her life.
Over the weekend, the Anyone But You actor was spotted on a lake trip to Idaho, where she was photographed riding a jet ski and looking smiley while a mystery man held her waist her from behind (you can see the photos here). Although the identity of her co-pilot is unknown, it was certainly not her most-recent partner: restaurateur Jonathan Davino.
Sweeney was in a relationship with Davino from 2018 to 2025. The two were first connected when they attended an Emmys after-party together at the Nomad in Los Angeles, and then they were spotted kissing while Sweeney filmed the first season of The White Lotus in Hawaii. In 2022, the pair announced their engagement, but their wedding plans were put on pause earlier this year, according to a report from Us Weekly.
“They were supposed to get married this spring,” an insider told the outlet in March. “The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
At the time, it was reported that the couple had not fully separated: “Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split. Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Only hours after the news broke, the Euphoria star posted a video to Instagram where she was seen swimming in a pool and looking seriously unbothered. A few weeks later, she and Davino were seen on a few low-key outings taking their dogs for a walk.
However, the Laneige ambassador confirmed that she was single in June, during an interview with The Sunday Times. “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she said. Maybe she’s spending more time with a new flame now, too.
