Heidi Klum’s 19-year-old son Henry couldn’t have done it without his mom.
In an April 2 Instagram video, Henry shared footage of himself preparing to walk in his first-ever fashion show earlier this year. The event took place in Paris, France, during Fashion Week in January and officially gave new meaning to the phrase “walking in his mother’s footsteps.” The video is a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at Henry getting into the right mindset to walk down a runway, and we’re sure there’s nobody more proud than Klum herself.
It shouldn’t be surprising that Henry is taking this next step in fashion. He’s just a few weeks removed from his magazine cover debut. Physically walking the runway did make the up-and-coming star a little nervous, however. But Henry didn’t let the pressure get to him.
“I love fashion, I love clothes, I love to express myself and show who I am,” Henry revealed in the video. “This is my first time walking, first time modeling for a designer — I’m nervous, but I’m more excited than nervous.”

Of course, Klum advised her son on his first walk. He explained that his mom told him always to look straight ahead and keep his posture in mind. When Henry’s big moment finally arrived, he looked every bit like a top model.
“When I was younger, I used to model in my sisters’ and siblings’ clothes,” Henry confessed. “Yeah, I was just kinda inspired by that.”
Klum, who stepped away from America’s Got Talent this year to focus on her duties on the German edition of Top Model, shared an adorable Instagram photo on April 3 of the two of them on the set of her show:

Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni is also exploring a career in modeling
Henry isn’t the only child of Klum’s to take after their mom! Her oldest daughter Leni actually made her modeling debut on the cover of Vogue Germany alongside Klum in 2020.
Klum also has two other children, Johan, 18, and Lou, 15 — but they haven’t dipped their toes into the modeling world yet.

“That’s, like, insane that I did that as my first job and my mom was with me, which made it so much fun,” Leni told PEOPLE in 2022. “It was just such a good day. I wasn’t nervous at all. I was just so excited. I was like, ‘I’m finally modeling and it’s Vogue.’ It was just so many things to be excited about.”
