Few red carpet trends have had the lasting power of the lingerie-as-clothing fad. Absolutely everyone seems to be swapping their extravagant, voluminous gowns in favor of simple slip dresses—the more nightgown-coded, the better. A few examples: see Andie Macdowell in a silver silk lace-trimmed slipdress to Cannes this year, Gabrielle Union wearing a see-through black lace dress that showed off her underwear to a Met Gala after-party, Emma Stone in a lingerie-inspired black slipdress with sheer lace paneling, and, of course, Dakota Johnson with a chocolate brown lace Gucci slipdress with a sheer lace bodice. Even Meghan Markle has gotten in on the trend. Slip dress plus lace is evidently a winning formula—and Heather Graham is the latest to give it a try.
The Austin Powers and The Hangover actress wore not one but two sheer lace slip dresses yesterday at the Filming Italy event in Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy.

One dress featured an abstract painterly brown and white print along with a plunging neckline and a brown sheer lace bodice. She kept the look simple, opting to go sans jewelry. She rocked a millennial side part and loose waves.

Graham also wore another lingerie-esque look that day, with a white lace plunging frock that was see-through from the mid-thighs down, which she paired with strappy silver heels. Once again, she went without jewelry. For this look, she opted for a sharp center part.

Graham starred in the 1988 teen comedy License to Drive and went on to appear in comedies like The Hangover, Boogie Nights, and Say It Isn’t So. Now in her 50s, she recently spoke to Retreat Magazine about how her philosophy on aging. “I think what matters most is how you feel inside,” she said. “Decide that you’re hot and enjoy your life. What other people think of you is none of your business. If you feel good about yourself, no one can take that away from you. Pursue the things that fill you with joy, and surround yourself with loving people.”
