Jordan Hudson is usually the one cheering on the sidelines as Bill Belichick coaches his team. But it was the University of North Carolina’s football coach who was cheering for his girlfriend as she competed for the title of Miss Maine USA 2025.
Belichick, 73, was spotted sitting in the front row as Hudson, 24, representing her hometown of Hancock, competed in the Miss Maine USA pageant for the second time last weekend, WMTW and TODAY reported.
While Hudson was among the top five finalists, as per the contest organizers, she did not take home the crown and finished third as the second runner-up. Shelby Ann Howell of Bangor won the title of Miss Maine USA 2025. Howell and Miss Maine Teen USA 2025 Raine Werner will be representing Maine at the national Miss USA competition later this year.
Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson: What have they said about their relationship?
However, the evening was not a total loss for Hudson, who was the first runner-up in last year’s contest. She was the recipient of the “most stylish” award.
“I’m feeling an immense amount of pride right now,” Hudson said while speaking during her introduction, The Athletic reported. “I’m hoping that anyone who’s watching this finds the strength to push through whatever it is they’re going through and embodies that hate never wins.”

What moment from her life would Jordan relive?
During “the question” round in which Hudson randomly chose from a deck of cards, the question that came was “If you could relive one moment in your life, what would it be and why?”
In response, Hudson said: “I would go back to the days where I was on my family’s fishing boat in Hancock, Maine. And I think about this really often because there’s a mass exodus of fishermen that’s occurring in the rural areas of Maine, and I don’t want to see more fishermen displaced.”
“As your next Miss Maine USA, I would make it a point to go into the communities, to go to the legislature, to go into the government to advocate for these people so that they don’t have to think about these memories as a past moment,” she added.
Contestants were judged in three areas including interview, swimsuit, and evening gown, according to TODAY, at the final, which took place May 11 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, about 140 miles south of Bangor.
Who is Jordon Hudson?
Hudson is originally from Hancock, Maine, and comes from a line of fishermen.
She later moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts, and graduated from Bridgewater State University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, according to her LinkedIn. In college, she also competed on Bridgewater’s cheerleading team and won a National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Championship in 2021.
In high school, Hudson completed a professional cosmetology license at New England Hair Academy through a dual enrollment program, according to her Instagram.
Belichick and Hudson recently made headlines after she shut down an interview question about how they met during the football coach’s interview with CBS.
During the April 27 “CBS Mornings” interview to promote his new book, when host Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick how he and Hudson met, the latter had immediately interjected, saying “We’re not talking about this.”
The interaction sparked discourse and public interest in the pair’s relationship, including how and when they met.
