Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have not shared screen time together. However, according to the Shrinking actor, never say never.
While speaking with Variety for an interview published Wednesday, July 30, the 83-year-old actor said the married couple would be costars on one condition. “If we get to work together, we’d want it to be someone else’s idea,” Ford explained.
Even with an original idea, though, the Emmy nominee thinks a film starring himself and the Ally McBeal alum, 60, might be distracting.
“That kind of casting might not be the best way to bring people into an imagined situation, because [audiences] may say, ‘Oh, I know they’re married; now I’m not even thinking about the movie anymore,’ ” Ford said.

Ford and Flockhart have been together for 22 years, after first meeting at the 2002 Golden Globes.
The two married in 2010 at Governor’s Mansion in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in a ceremony officiated by then-Gov. Bill Richardson, who was a friend of the couple’s. The wedding site was not far from the set of Cowboys and Aliens, which Ford was filming at the time.

While accepting a career achievement award during the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, Ford expressed appreciation for Flockhart’s encouragement over the years.
“I want to thank my lovely wife, Calista Flockhart, who supports me when I need a lot of support,” the actor said during his acceptance speech. “And I need a lot of support.”
