When you think of red carpet beauty, luxury might spring to mind. But it turns out, celebrities really are just like us, and they wear drugstore foundation even on a night as big as the Met Gala. Not only a drugstore foundation, but an actually affordable one that can cost less than $6, depending on where you get it. Need the details ASAP? We’ve got you.
Monday night was the 2025 Met Gala in New York City, celebrating (and raising money for) the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Celebs brought their A-game. Some of our favorite beauty looks include Halle Berry, Tracee Ellis Ross and Heidi Klum, all of whom were wearing affordable L’Oréal Paris products as part of their glam routines. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo is responsible for Berry’s rosy glow. “A tribute to the era, elevated with a touch of contemporary glamour—that’s the inspiration behind Halle’s makeup tonight,” he said in a statement. When we saw the actress’ look, we were shocked to learn it was created with a foundation that’s less than $6 right now: True Match Super-Blendable Foundation in shade W8. For the flawless base, Vanngo also used True Match Radiant Serum Concealer in shade W7, Infallible Blur-Fection Loose Setting Powder in shade 15 and Infallible 3-Second Setting Spray.

Romy Soleimani did Ross’ glam for the night. “Tracee’s look personifies the ‘super fine ’70s, a mix of Harlem and Parisian styles,” she said in a statement. “It’s all about flamboyance mixed with sexy elegance, joyful confidence, strength and vibrancy.” That’s exactly what they achieved! Soleimani used the same True Match Super Blendable Foundation in W8 for Ross’ skin, along with True Match Radiant Serum Concealer in W7 and Lumi Le Glass Stick in Glassy Pearl Eclat. But we know what you’re thinking: what is that gorgeous lip? It’s Colour Riche Liner in Always Red 765 and Colour Riche Lipstick in 315 True Red.

Heidi Klum
Klum’s fresh-faced glam was courtesy of Linda Hay. “Inspired by Vetements’ beautiful, black gown, we wanted Heidi’s makeup to reflect the gown’s edge and simplicity,” she said in a statement. Hay prepped Klum’s skin with Age Perfect Midnight Cream, and then applied True Match Super Blendable Foundation in C3 and Lumi Le Glass Highlighter Stick. For even more of a natural-looking glow, she added True Match Lumi Glotion in 902 Light. Gorgeous!
