Haley on Epstein files: ‘You can never go wrong with being transparent’

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Tuesday pushed for the Trump administration to release files about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “and let the chips fall where they may.”

“This is why people don’t trust government. You can never go wrong with being transparent. Redact victims’ names but release the rest,” Haley wrote Tuesday in a post on the social platform X.

In recent days, President Trump and his allies, particularly Attorney General Pam Bondi, have faced criticism over the files after a recent Justice Department memo dispelled conspiracy theories touted by right-wing influencers for years.

The memo said there was no evidence Epstein kept a “client list” or that he attempted to blackmail powerful figures implicated in his crimes. It also concluded Epstein’s death was due to suicide, pushing back against theories that he was murdered.

Still, a notable chunk of Trump’s most hardline MAGA supporters were not convinced, taking aim at Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino over the findings.

Earlier this year, Bondi said that an Epstein client list was on her desk to be reviewed. The attorney general later clarified that she was only referring to a variety of files related to the Epstein case — not a specific list of names.

Trump has backed Bondi’s handling of the files amid the saga, angrily stating at a Cabinet meeting last week that people should not waste their time talking about Epstein.
