Hailey Bieber is redefining the suit with the help of a controversial style: capri pants.
The Rhode founder jetted out to Le Brassus, a village in the Vallée de Joux in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, for an event celebrating the luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet. For the occasion, which took place in a grassy field under a foggy, gray sky, Bieber opted for a sleek slate-gray suit.
The set was composed of a fitted blazer and chic, matching capri pants with little slits at the sides. The jacket had a sharp collar, a plunging neckline, structured shoulders, and circular black buttons.
The model and Saint Laurent ambassador paired her suit with It girl accessories: strappy black leather sandals with a golden buckle, elongated black sunglasses, and chunky gold hoop earrings.
Bieber has championed the capri pant renaissance before. Back in April, she stepped out for a late-night bite at West Hollywood hotspot Sushi Park in fitted, black, high-waisted capris with a hot little slit at the bottom. She styled them with a white tank top, a beige trench, a black leather tote, and a different pair of strappy black heels.
She also wore capris last month while in New York City. These were white with large black polka dots. Bieber paired the pants with a black tank, black leather thong sandals, and a black mini bag.
Both times, the model accessorized with skinny black shades and gold jewelry.
Capris have gotten the stamp of approval from other modern muses, including Bella Hadid, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Emily Ratajkowski—the latter who also wore them in a suit look.
