Guy Fieri’s latest lipstick collaboration might not become part of his beauty regimen, but he has other products, treatments and routines to make him the Mayor of Flavortown.

The Guys Grocery Games star, 57, dished on what the upkeep is like for his iconic look while talking to PEOPLE about his partnership with Revlon. First up for discussion: his bleached, spikey locks.

“Everybody asks, ‘How long does it take to do your hair?’ It takes,” he stops talking to rub his hands back and forth on his head three times. “That’s how long.”

Fieri has previously revealed to PEOPLE that his bold hair and edgy tattoos were not a TV stunt, having said in 2022, “People think I got tattoos and bleached my hair because I was going to be on TV. I made those great decisions before I got here.” His spikey ‘do came from giving a hairdresser friend, Christina Jones, creative liberties.

“Believe it or not, moisturizing my skin is something that my wife got me on years ago,” Fieri continued, explaining that its necessary for days on set. “When I do shows and stuff, I do have to wear some makeup just so I’m not greasy, glossy when we’re filming.”

A lot of his beauty tips are wellness-focused, the cookbook author said, pointing to frequently exercising, intermittent fasting and taking daily vitamins as some of his biggies.

The father of two, whose newest competition series Guy’s Flavortown Games is set to premiere in early 2026 on Food Network and HBO Max explained, “I have a good little routine of stuff that I do to keep me balanced. I run pretty hot and pretty fast. If I don’t stay healthy, we don’t film, we don’t work, things don’t go right. We can’t do 12 hour days of shooting shows and not being on your 100% game.”

A 15-hour shoot day produced the Food Network celebrity’s latest collaboration, which was revealed on Wednesday, July 23. Fieri announced his limited-time product with Revlon, the Super Lustrous Glass Shine Balm in the shade “Flavortown,” with a video shot on his California ranch, he recalled.

“They just let me go wild with what I wanted to do,” he said, pointing out how they let him throw lipsticks in a bowl like someone tossing chicken wings in sauce. “I’m like, ‘Where have you guys been in all my other adventures and weird stuff that I want to do?’”

The makeup product was in honor of National Lipstick Day and National Chicken Wing Day both landing on Tuesday, July 29, and Fieri said he was immediately on board with the idea. The unexpected nature of collab, combined with the authenticity, is what made Guy sign on, he explained. “I won’t do anything that doesn’t have authenticity. I’m not just going to stamp Flavortown on something,” he said, adding that this partnership has the potential to reach fans in a new way. “I think that it gives you a chance to reach another audience.”

The lipstick, inspired by Fieri’s Flavortown original Buffalo sauce, is coral-tinged, slightly sparkly, vanilla-scented (though not chicken-flavored) and costs $10.50, according to the cosmetic brand’s website. The lipstick comes with a sheet of Guy-inspired stickers so fans can deck out their product with flames, cars and his signature. It is available from Wednesday, July 23, through National Lipstick and Chicken Wing Day on Tuesday, July 29.
