‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Fans Are ‘Crying’ Over Ellen Pompeo’s Major New Achievement

Ellen Pompeo has officially received her star!

On Tuesday, April 29, the Grey’s Anatomy actress was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and fans of the long-running medical drama say it’s about time!

Pompeo, 55, attended the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday, where she officially got to unveil her shining new star in the category of Television.

Pompeo was supported by her husband, Chris Ivery, as well as two of their kids, Stella, 15, and Eli, 8. (Their 10-year-old daughter, Sienna, didn’t appear to be in attendance.)

Other notable attendees included Pompeo’s Grey’s co-star James Pickens Jr. (who plays Dr. Richard Webber) and Scott Speedman (Dr. Nick Marsh). Some of Pompeo’s cast mates from her new Hulu series Good American Family, namely Christina Hendricks and Sarayu Blue, were also in the audience.

The ceremony also featured guest speakers Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s, as well as Debbie Allen, who is also an actress and executive producer on the beloved medical drama.

While watching the ceremony livestream on YouTube, tons of Grey’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement for Pompeo’s major new accomplishment, including viewers who said they were “crying” over the milestone moment.

“Mother is motheringgg,” another fan wrote, while someone else said Pompeo “looks so pretty.”

“So well deserved,” added one more.
