A lucky group of guests in Boston was treated to an unforgettable show on Sunday evening as Gracie Abrams and Elton John shared the stage at a private event.
According to multiple fans who posted on social media, Abrams opened the night before the music legend took over, making for a rare and buzzworthy pairing. The event took place at the Encore Boston Harbor Casino. The 25-year-old singer stunned the intimate crowd in a colorblocked maxi slip dress and her hair worn down, and even took pictures with fans afterwards. She performed some of her hits, such as “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” which were posted by audience members on Instagram stories and then reposted to X.

This past weekend, the “Close to You” singer also performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago last Thursday, delivering an amazing set and a surprise duet of “Dancing On My Own” with Robyn. She continued her festival momentum with a performance at Osheaga in Montreal on Saturday, where she charmed the crowd despite her show being cut short due to weather-related interruptions.
Though the “Rocket Man” singer has retired from touring since the end of his The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in 2023, he continues to be active in the entertainment industry and philanthropy through his Elton John AIDS Foundation. As for new music, the 78-year-old singer made a collaborative album titled Who Believes in Angels? with American singer Brandi Carlile, which was released in April.
Currently, Abrams is on the second leg of her The Secret of Us Tour, with upcoming shows in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum on Wednesday and Thursday.
