Bed Bath & Beyond has officially returned to the brick-and-mortar space − and yes, it’s still accepting those old coupons.
The retailer opened its first Bed Bath & Beyond Home store on Friday, Aug. 8, in the Nashville, Tennessee area, marking a new chapter for the company that filed for bankruptcy and closed its stores in 2023.
Beyond Inc., the parent company of Bed Bath & Beyond, entered into a partnership with Kirkland’s Home in 2024 to make The Brand House Collective, the umbrella under which the new stores will operate. As part of the agreement, some Kirkland’s locations will be transformed into Bed Bath & Beyond Home stores, the company announced on Aug. 5
“We’re proud to reintroduce one of retail’s most iconic names with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, beautifully reimagined for how families gather at home today,” Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, said in a statement about the grand opening. “This isn’t just a store, it’s a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families.”
Here’s what we know about the retailer’s relaunch.
Where is the new Bed Bath & Beyond Home?
The first location is in Brentwood, Tennessee.
The company has plans to convert five Kirkland’s stores in the Nashville market to Bed Bath & Beyond Home stores, Starr Hudgens, The Brand House Collective’s chief of staff, told USA TODAY.
The company plans to expand outside the Nashville market in 2026, but has not yet announced where the new stores will be located.
What do Bed Bath & Beyond Home stores look like?
The inaugural Bed Bath & Beyond Home features a sleek, open-concept layout with sections for home decor, pillows and rugs, bathroom, bedroom, lighting and seasonal entertaining.
Staged displays of couches, chairs, beds and tables showcase a wide variety of products, from colorful throws and decorative pillows to bathroom sets, lamps, kitchen items and odds and ends like mugs and candles.
Will old Bed Bath & Beyond coupons still work?
As part of the grand opening, The Brand House Collective said it is “honoring our brand’s history” by bringing back the “beloved Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.” The company is encouraging guests to bring in their legacy Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, which the store “will gladly honor,” according to a July 28 news release. The coupons will be honored, in other words, even if they have expired.
The company said that the first 25 customers to make a purchase will receive The Beyond Bed, described as a premium 10-inch memory foam queen-size mattress regularly valued at $226.99.
Bed Bath & Beyond was primarily selling products online
Before The Brand House Collective partnered with Beyond Inc., Bed Bath & Beyond had made the switch to sell products online following Overstock’s acquisition of the store’s intellectual property in June 2023.
“Bed Bath & Beyond is an iconic consumer brand, well-known in the home retail marketplace. The combination of our winning asset-light business model and the high awareness and loyalty of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand will improve the customer experience and position the company for accelerated market share growth, Jonathan Johnson, CEO of Overstock, said in a statement at the time.
All Bed Bath & Beyond products were not sold online after the bankruptcy, as the store entered into a separate strategic partnership with The Container Store in late 2024 to sell its goods at the specialty retailer chain. As part of the partnership, Beyond Inc. also agreed to invest $40 million in The Container Store.
