Frankel, whom Sidibe has been married to since 2021, shared a carousel of photos of his wife — who celebrates her 42nd birthday on Tuesday, May 6 — and their 12-month-old twins Cooper and Maya to Instagram as he celebrated his wife’s place in their family.
“HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR QUEEN @gabbysidibe !!! This last year you’ve fully turned into SUPER MOM, and the Twins and I are so thankful to be able to celebrate you on your special day,” Frankel wrote in a caption to his post. “We celebrate you being born, and for bringing joy to our and so many people’s lives.”
“We hope you have the best birthday yet, and because you’ve more than earned it, there’s a bunch of sushi and a spa day in your future with your name on it!” Frankel added in the caption. “WE LOVE YOU THE MOST! HAPPY BORN DAY, MY LOVE ❤️.”

Frankel and Sidibe have been married since 2021; the pair met on the dating app Raya after Frankel’s previous marriage ended. Frankel, who works in the marketing and branding side of the entertainment industry, told Brides in 2022 that his first date with Sidibe lasted “more than seven hours,” and the pair announced their engagement in November 2020.

The couple welcomed their twins Cooper and Maya on April 16, 2024, and the parents recently celebrated their kids’ first birthdays by sharing several Instagram posts to each of their accounts.
Frankel often posts photos of his twins and wife; he shared on Instagram April 27 that he now has tattoos bearing his children’s names and Gabourey’s name on his body. “Now I get to walk around with all three of my favorite people permanently on my body,” he wrote in a post on that day. “You guys deserve this.”

The couple also took “a v rare night out” to see Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 1. “Getting to watch @gabbysidibe aka Cowboy Frankel having a ball is my absolute favorite. ‘I’M HAVING A GREAT TIME!’ was coming out of her mouth all night,” Frankel wrote on Instagram after the show.
Sidibe, who is best known for her Oscar-nominated role in the 2009 drama Precious, most recently appeared in the Lifetime original movie Give Me Back My Daughter; she has also voiced several characters in the Disney XD animated series StuGo, which premiered this year.
