There’s enough love to go around for Montecito neighbors Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle.
During an exclusive interview with People, the Goop founder revealed that she and the Duchess of Sussex have a “text friendship.”
While they haven’t had face time in real life just yet, Gwyneth shared, “We have a text friendship so far. I’ve been traveling quite a bit.” She then addressed the rumors that she and Meghan, who founded her own lifestyle brand, As Ever, in March 2024, were feuding because of the similarities in their business ventures.
“I don’t like that, when people try to pit women against each other,” Gwyneth told the publication during the Mindvalley Manifesting Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 17.
As for whether she’d appear in the second season of Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, the Shakespeare in Love actor is open to whipping something up in Meghan’s kitchen. “Sure! Why not? You never know. I don’t bake that well, but I can always try.”
Gwyneth has addressed speculation around the rumored feud numerous times, and in March, she told Vanity Fair, “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try. Another woman is never your competition.”
The pair even put the rumors to rest on social media. When someone asked Gwyneth, “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories, she responded, “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever” before panning her phone’s camera to the Duchess, who shrugged.
Now that we know the lifestyle moguls are cool with each other, here’s to hoping these two will maximize their joint slay and drop a Goop x As Ever collab in the near future.
