Fans of the popular anime series Komi Can’t Communicate took over the comment section on Netflix’s Instagram in order to demand a new season of the hit show.
Soon after Netflix released the official trailer for the highly anticipated horror movie Fear Street: Prom Queen, fans of the anime took over the trailer post on social media to make their plea to the streaming network.

“Still waiting for Komi Can’t Communicate Season 3… It’s been 3 years. Please Netflix, the fans are still here, still hoping,” wrote one fan on Instagram, while a similar comment read, “Netflix, you gave us two amazing seasons of Komi. Please don’t let this heartfelt story end unfinished. We believe in you!”

Another declared, “Komi Season 3 could become one of your most loved returns. We just need a sign from the official team. The wait hurts.”
“We need answers. We need Komi back,” wrote a different fan, as someone else shared the strong message, “Komi Can’t Communicate isn’t just a romcom—it’s an emotion. Please give us one official update. Fans won’t give up.”
Komi Can’t Communicate follows a girl named Shoko Komi who starts attending a new school and wants to make 100 friends, but she suffers from a communication disorder. A classmate named Hitohito Tadano vows to help her reach her goal.
The first season of Komi Can’t Communicate aired in 2021, with Netflix licensing it for worldwide streaming. In April 2022, Season 2 aired in Japan and on Netflix internationally, and ever since, fans have been waiting for news of a third season.
While the second season of the anime concludes at the end of Komi’s first year at the new school, the manga, which is currently completed, covers her entire high school experience until graduation, giving the anime plenty of story to work with in a potential Season 3. There has been no official word on whether or not the anime is canceled or if there are plans for more episodes from either Netflix or the anime production team.
Despite it being three years since Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 aired on Netflix, fans continue to maintain hope that a third season is on its way.
