The 2025 Met Gala will see Colman Domingo, along with Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams, join Condé Nast Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour as co-chairs. The new co-chair treated viewers to two drastic entrance looks this year, with more love for the ladder than the former.
Colman Domingo’s first look was a luxurious long pleated cape that was exclusively created for the “Four Seasons” actor by Valentino Creative Director Alessandro Michele. The floor-length cape wasn’t a winner for everyone.

“why is colman domingo wearing my living room curtain,” one person commented on Instagram.
“The white suit ate idk bout the blue curtain tho,” wrote another, referring to Lewis Hamilton’s suit.

However, Colman’s cape came with a reveal hiding underneath. Also by Valentino, the second look included a black and white double-breasted wool jacket, featuring pearl and crystal embroidery, paired with a pair of wide-leg wool trousers. A black and white polk-a-dot scarf knotted around his neck and a silk flower brooch topped off the jacket.

This look had fans whistling from the sidelines. “The pattern mixing here is perfection,” wrote one fan.
