While fans may know Retta best as an actress and comedian on popular shows like “Parks and Recreation,” she’s also a home design enthusiast.
A spinoff of her first HGTV series “Ugliest House in America,” “Scariest House in America” follows Retta as she travels across the country to tour terrifying homes. Whoever’s house is declared the “scariest,” wins a $150,000 renovation from HGTV designer Alison Victoria.
According to a press release, fans are in for six new episodes. Across the season, Retta will “tour 15 more petrifyingly paranormal or horrifically hideous houses whose owners say are haunted by scary stories and hair-raising sights.”
The actress will give her unfiltered takes on properties like a former funeral home with a basement morgue, a house on a cemetery and a property that looks like a witch’s hat. The press release reveals that the premiere will focus on “eerie homes in the East” like an 1800s Georgia jail and a historical haunted house in Connecticut.
