Anthony Mackie knows how to make fans laugh both on and off the screen.

While promoting his upcoming guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Marvel star recreated an iconic and viral reaction photo that had the Internet in stitches. The video shows Mackie walking over and sitting down on a chair, then hitting the pose with the 2002 song “I’m Just a Kid” by Simple Plan in the background.

The original GIF came from a 2016 press junket for Captain America: Civil War, where he was jiggling and dancing in his seat. During the interview, which was posted by a Spanish-language segment with NBC Deportes, the host joked that owning a bar was a better superpower than flying, and Mackie enthusiastically agreed, responding, “I agree, because your friends show up and they go ‘Ayyy!'” Then he proceeded to do a little jig, ending by placing both hands on his head and shimmying in his seat.

The Tonight Show promo made its way around social media, and fans can’t get enough of Mackie’s sense of humor ahead of his late-night guest spot.

“HE DID THE THING!!!!” a fan quote-tweeted.

“PLSSSSS OMG,” a fan commented.

“LMAOOO,” another said.

One commented, “The only Captain America I know!” referring to his role as Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Another quote-tweeted, “I AM IN TEARS.”

“HE SO UNSERIOUS HELP,” another quote-tweeted.

“legend,” another simply wrote.

Originally from New Orleans and a graduate from Juilliard, Mackie earned acclaim in the 2008 film The Hurt Locker and rose to global fame as Sam Wilson/Falcon, now Captain America, in multiple MCU films and series, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Captain America: Brave New World.

Mackie, along with Mamie Gummer and Robert Klein, will be the guests on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The rock band GHOST will be the musical guest.

Fans can watch The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon live on NBC every weekday at 11:35 pm ET.
