The talk show host has been teasing an upcoming original release this week, finally debuting a brief snippet of her next song on Instagram on Wednesday, April 30, and you can practically feel her fans vibrating with anticipation in her comment section, with one declaring her latest track to be “song of the year” already.
“I like my freedom but I’d trade some for a kiss… #WhereHaveYouBeen,” she captioned the video, which featured her vocals laying down the same lyrics over a video of what looked to be a beaded green gown that appeared to shift to gold as it reflected in the light.

Fans are about ready to “cry with so much excitement” over the preview, with one admitting, “I can hardly wait for this album.”

It’s unclear when fans can expect to hear the full song, but perhaps it could be as soon as this Friday, given the gusto with which the singer is posting about it. Either way, one thing is obvious: “THE QUEEN HAS RETURNED.”
